Fiaz’ one-sided win over outgunned Dale

Fiaz has his hand raised after taking every round against Kellam

TELFORD cruiser Aroon “Harry” Fiaz had things pretty much his own way in clinching the fifth straight win of his pro career.

On Scott Murray’s sell-out Sunday show at the Premier Suite, Cannock, Fiaz dictated the action against Dale Kellam who lost every session of their four rounder, referee Peter McCormack scoring 40-36.

Tall Kellam, from Malty, Yorkshire, showed neat footwork, but simply didn’t throw enough leather.

That allowed 31-year-old Fiaz (12st 13lbs) to boss the action and by as early as the first, Kellam (14st 1lb) sported livid rope burns on his back.

For Kellam, that’s three losses on the spin, but the first time he’s lasted the distance.

Fiaz doubled the jabs into his opponent’s face in the first and connected with one cracking right hand.

With each session he glided through the gears and worked Kellam’s long body in the second. By the third, Kellam was circling the ring warily, but was still being punished by jabs.

The torment continued in the fourth with Fiaz working his opponent’s ribs.

Harry gave a neat, measured performance. Much stiffer tests than Dale Kellam await, however.
