Powerhouse Walker faces Sugar Kane
WOLVERHAMPTON powerhouse Conah Walker continues his surge towards a British title fight on Friday.
The exciting fighter faces tall, talented Kane Gardner at Bolton Whites Hotel. It’s a mouth-watering contest that’s been a long time coming.
The eight rounder was scheduled to take place last September, but 27-year-old Walker was forced out with a damaged hand.
He’s now raring to go – and Gardner would represent a very good scalp. What’s more, the show is televised on Channel 5.
The pair know each other, they’ve sparred together.
Gardner, from Manchester, is known to West Midlands fans, but known as a light-welter.
Back in 2019, Digbeth’s rugged Ben Fields snapped his unbeaten run via six round decision. That’s one of only two losses on “Sugar Kane’s” 17 bout record. He’s stopped seven.
In full flow, Walker is a truly exciting fighter – and a real handful.
Only top talent Samuel Antwi has outpointed him, on points. He’s taken the Midlands title at welter in 2021 by outpointing Levi Ferguson and is hungry for greater glory.
He has the connection – Conah began his career with legend Ricky Hatton – and has featured on major bills. He’s lost only one of 13 (one draw).
Come the weekend, fans across the country will know a lot more about Conah Walker’s true worth.
