Dylan: The fire that’s in me is now roaring

Dylan Norman…out again in March in his first six rounder

KNOWLE lightweight hope Dylan Norman is poised to top the bill for the first time in his career.

The prospect, unbeaten in six and trained by Wayne Elcock, will be involved in his first six rounder at the Holiday Inn, Birmingham Airport, on March 2.

It’s a well deserved boost for Norman who endured tragedy last year. His beloved grandmother collapsed and died shortly after watching the fighter gain his most spectacular win – a one round blitz of Louis Fielding in Tommy Owens’ Top Boxer tournament.

That hit the 23-year-old hard and affected his mental health. But Dylan found strength through boxing’s regime, emerged from the darkness and returned to outpoint Jake Osgood last September.

He is an all action, buzzsaw pressure fighter who works well to the body.

Dylan said: “The fire that has been burning in me is now roaring. I’ve been through a lot and channelled that into boxing.

“I’m really looking forward to it. I had my ticket allocation last week and have already sold most of them.”

Dylan is a young man burning with ambition.

He added: “I truly believe I’m one of the best lightweights in the country and I think I should’ve had a Midlands title fight already. I believe I can be in the mix.”

Dylan paid tribute to girlfriend Hollie for helping him through the hard times.
