Coleman headlines, Kane returns on the BCB ‘Backlash’ show
TROI Coleman makes his first ring appearance since being crowned Midlands middleweight champ next month, writes PAUL WEBB.
The Burntwood boxer who carved out a successful career in Thailand headlines BCB’s “Backlash” show at the Hangar, Wolverhampton, on December 6.
It’s a richly deserved reward for Coleman (13-3) after he outpointed Tom Cowling for the vacant belt in September.
Wolverhampton Boxing Club are well represented on the bill, with Gully Powar (11-0), Lewis Morris (8-3), and Alex Round (3-0) all in action.
Birmingham’s Kane Baker (19-11-2) is back after a frustrating few months out of the ring and the former Midlands Area champion will want to put on a big performance and seal another televised show next year.
The exciting Tyselle Walfall (1-0) had a memorable debut in his Northampton hometown and the latest in the Team Shoe-box line-up is sure to put on a show.
Ben Andrews (3-0) has racked up the miles in his fledgling career. After fights in Brighton and Edinburgh, the former amateur standout from Torquay heads to Wolverhampton.
After starting his pro journey in Germany, Jordan Hammonds (2-0) - already scheduled to box on the November 16 “Unleashed” BCB show - will face a quick turnaround.
Danny Skidmore (3-0) completes the line-up, boxing for the fourth time in his first year as a pro.
